Celebrating CCS: Our Work and Community

Awards Lunch '26, held at the beautiful Elley-Long Music Center at historic Fort Ethan Allen, celebrates the work and people of CCS, and the community that makes it all happen. If you support our vision of "a community where everyone participates and belongs," then join us for this exciting and inspiring event. Enjoy a buffet lunch, energizing speakers, and the excitement of our Agency Awards honoring Community Impact!

This event has a tradition of dynamic speakers, and we're doubling that this time around! CCS is honored that both Max Barrows and Dr. Bryan Dague will present as co-featured speakers.

Max Barrows is Outreach Director for Green Mountain Self-Advocates, He mentors youth and adults with developmental disabilities to speak up for themselves and become leaders. Max connects with people on all levels advocating for true-inclusion of people with developmental disabilities. In his work, he advances the message that when you meet an individual with a disability, presume competence. He received a White House Champions of Change award in 2015 and Champion of Equal Opportunity award from the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities in 2019.

Bryan Dague, Ed.D., CRC, has 25 years of experience in the disability field, with the last 19 as faculty at the UVM Center on Disability and Community Inclusion (CDCI). His work is focused primarily on inclusive employment for people with disabilities. He is also program director of the Think College program at the University of Vermont. Bryan provides training and technical assistance to supported employment programs and high school transition programs throughout the state of Vermont, as well as nationally and internationally.
